Radials vs. bias
My trailer came equipped with bias tires. As they failed it became more and
more difficult to replace them. Last year my company found ONE bias tire in
California
(I 'm in Iowa--Go figure the shipping cost). When I had a flat
(unrepairable) a couple of weeks ago, of course there were no more bias tires
available, so they replaced it with a radial of the same size. We're not
sure how this will work, but I wasn't prepared at that point to buy 3 more
new radials. The mechanic said to go ahead and replace the biases as they
failed. We'll see.
