Re: RC: Weird saddle pad

I have this same pad, I think...
I love it - it seems to only add a little additional heat over the other
pads I use {It covers a large square western-type area whereas my other pads
are shaped for the aussie saddles I usually ride in} It seems to cool a lot
better than the heaviness would imply and the additional heat is only a
result of more body coverage, methinks...I'm hypothesizing the cooling is a
result of the honeycombed texture...? At any rate, it holds the saddle in
place very well {I ride in a looser girth than probably most folks} and has
kept my mare's back in great shape. I used this pad in a 50 a week or so ago
and it was wonderful - all A's. I originally ordered it as a pad for a
western saddle for a beginning rider, but quickly confiscated it for myself
once the beginning rider decided he preferred motorcyles over horses....the
price was unbeatable and the pad is great. I believe they also offered a
white english version, but I don't have the catalog in front of me so I
don't recall exactly. It had some very non-fancy name, too, if I recall
correctly.
