Easy Boots Aren't
Just to report that I did get the easy boots off poor Shahin's hooves. I
decided this was a chance for us to share a time of patience and cooperation
- mostly from him....and colorful language - mostly from me.
The four easy boots are now resting on the porch with their full load of easy
foam inside. I just can't face the task of muscling that goop/vet wrap mess
out of the boots until another day. I even called the company to find out if
there was a secret solvent for the glue - oops, foam - but they just repeated
the screwdriver and thin blade routine I had already learned from y'all and
the web site.
I must say , though, that the foam does stick the boots on securely. We lost
the front clasp on one hind foot and continued riding for another 15 miles
through tough hills without a pause. That boot was the hardest to get off!!!
I too used the old Pam trick thinking it would help the boots come off easier.
It helped them slip on better, don't know if it helped coming off.
Thanks for all your help,
Terry and Shahin
