Preg. and riding
I have had 4 children, with my 3rd pregancy(the only one during which I road)
I had the easiest time carring my child, I was more comfortable and fit, and
much Happier...My Dr. (who breed Arabians) said I could ride all I cared
too...just to be smart about it..a calm horse, no wild rides......at 4 mos I
found I had placenta previa, my Doc said I could still ride but only at a
walk in a safe environment, I followed his advice (pretty much) would work
down my 2 show horses before a show to supple them etc, by 7 mos the
placenta previa had resolved and could "ride as I pleased" .by that time I
was getting heavy, and although I didnt ride as much as I had or for as long
I still got my fix when I needed it......16 days prior to my due date we were
waiting at a Gymkana show for our horses to arrive and my water broke, she
was born the next am 6'14" and healthy.....her Debut was at the next show (at
13 days old) her birth was anounced at the 2nd day of the show.....and I was
given a Pink Ribbon for the youngest rider......LOL She is 7 now and rides
like a pro...no harm there...but I used caution when I road.....
