Help! My horse won't eat!

Hi. I have a problem. My horse won't eat at a ride. He's a very experienced 
endurance horse but sometimes he just won't eat anything. I think he's too 
busy thinking of other things. He barely picks at his hay. His gut sounds 
were practically non existent this last ride. Does anyone out there have any 
ideas to get him to eat? Are there any secrets anyone is willing to give a
