Saddle fitting
This is a NEW message on 4-15-99!
Trying out a new english saddle and had the oddest thing happen. Used a
dressage pad underneath to protect the saddle, it appears to fit with no
bridging, good space thru the gullet. Went out for an hour ride, horses
had sweaty shoulders and gaskins (we're still shedding winter coats) when
we got back. The ENTIRE under saddle area was not at all sweaty. Not dry
spots; completely dry.
Did we just not get him sweaty enough to test for dry spots ? Or is
something REALLY wrong?
