But don't you think that maybe this horse is just being a PIG....my horses
always do that, it's *people* food and they like it!!! It seems hard to
believe that only after 10 miles that this horse would be starved?? Open for
correction.....

There is a point at which a low blood glucose triggers a strong appetitie,
and a point beyond which an athlete doesn't feel like eating--generally when
the body has switched fuel sources. Yes it is possible that the horse is a
pig. Wouldn't be my first guess, though.
