Re: RC: glucosamine
I do have a huge problem with doctors who say just buy the cheapest -
it's all the same. It most definitely is NOT all the same - there are
many differences such as bioavailability, safety, grade of raw material,
and the list goes on - not to mention if it's mixed with something to
make cells utilize it better. Quit selling health to the lowest bidder.

While it may well be true that not all supplements are the same, it *is*
true that glucoamine sulfate and glucosamine HCl are cleaved in the stomach.
So, if your horse has adequate sulfur in it's diet otherwise, and if you
can buy glucosamine HCl less expensively (face it, none of it is *cheap*),
I say, go for the less expensive form. It should go without saying that you
should only but from reputable sources.
