Hi Linda - 

I used aluminum bar shoes on the front of a horse I had - they did last 6 
weeks.  I also have to ride on rocky hard surfaces, but was not conditioning 
for more than LD & CTR at the time.  Don't know if they would last under 
higher mileage & speed.
