overtraining
Kristine Doucet kris@pubnix.net
We are training for a 50 in Ontario on April 25th. We are now doing
1 1/2 - 2 hrs of xcountry, canter and trot (a little walk) 4-5
times a week. But the AERC handbook shows LSD's of 36 mins-1 hr.
Am I missing something. Can you actually prepare for a 50 miler
that we completed last year in approx. 6 hrs (running time) by doing
only 1 hour rides, or are our 2 hour rides more benificial?
My boyfriend runs marathons and he does 30-38 km practice runs
up to 2 weeks before the big day of 42 km. Should I be comparing
the two sports?
Thanks for any info.
Kristine
