Re: RC: Weight Training
We trained one year with our Boz Saddle which will hold up to about 20lbs of
sand in the pommel area. However, we found that the best conditioning for us
is hill work. We recently held the Leatherwood Mountain Challenge and while
my wife finished 5th in the 50, she was 2nd best condition. The winner of the
best condition award also lives and trains in the mountains. The first
place finisher I believe placed 7th or 8th in best condition and this rider
lives along the coastal region which is sandy and flat. So I would suggest a
lot of hill work if you have access.
