Norco Riverdance Ride

Just wanted to let the folks who emailed me (and other prospective
attendees) that the Norco Riverdance Ride is indeed sanctioned this year,
even though it isn't listed in the recent Endurance News issues.  The ride
was sanctioned on January 25th, and will be held on September 4th 1999.

The ride is also the IAHA Region 1 Championship event.

We will have 4 vets for this ride, and Mike Tomlinson is head vet.

With half the normal rainfall due to La Nina, the trails are in great
shape, and yesterday we crossed the river in 4 places, so we have access
again to both sides of the river for great training.  Riverside County
continues to improve all the riverbed trails, with great plans in the works
for other improvements.

Much of our marking in the hills with biodegradeable paint is still, um,
intact due to the lack of rain, so riders that did last year's ride and
want to come train should find them well marked.  :-P  Contact me for
information and directions on the different staging areas.
