De-lurking for a moment. Horses fighting being tied is often a result
of not having the proper initial leading and tying training, then
complicated by some bad experiences. Once more, I may suggest on of our
best trainers advice & video tape... John Lyons "Leading and Loading".
Its the lesser known companion video to "Round Pen Reasoning" and
addresses the issue of horses pulling back when tied, as well as how to
load a bad loader, or how to teach a horse properly so he doesn't become
one. Please feel free to buy it from your local tack shop, direct from
Farnam, (the distributor), the AERC office, or myself, Horseman Video
Showcase. Special ride camp price is $35. (shipping $3.) E mail me or
call 800 288 TROT
(8768). Will accept cred cards, checks, or M.O.
