Re: Centered Riding problem
Kristi,
Some options for you to try: 1st: find yourself a good body worker ie,
rolfer, massage therapist, etc. You have to viscerally teach your body a
new way (correct) of being. 2nd: find yourself a body awareness specialist
ie physical therapist, personal trainer, kinesiologist, etc. This person
can help you correct the body position/movement. You might want to see if
one leg is longer than the other. This will affect your pelvic girdle and
make it harder for you to sit square and balanced.
Doing ball exercises helps!!!
Good luck,
susie griffin barnes
massage therapist, personal trainer, and a person with the same problem! :-)

Subject: RC: Centered Riding problem
Kristi iluvdez@yahoo.com
I have a chronic back problem; my lower spine "twists",
causing my pelvic girdle to rotate up and forward to the left.
This makes it virtually impossible for me to ride "square".
I would appreciate any words of wisdom/advice
from riders dealing with similiar balance problems. I
worry endlessly that my uncentered riding will have
serious consequences for my horse's soundness. My goal
is to move from CTR's to 50's this year, but maybe I'm
being too optimistic? Kristi
