Financing rides in Australia

Hi Kim,

Our fuel prices are incredibly high in comparison to yours but from what I
read on ridecamp our ride fees, shoeing, feed costs & horses etc are all
much cheaper to what you pay. For example, shoeing my endurance horse
yesterday, $40 (Approx $25-$28US) my horse cost me $750Au (green broken)
and ride entry for my next 50 miler is $40. I live in Western Australia
where the rides are spread far and wide. The closest one for me is 3 hours
drive and the furtherest is probably over 10 hours. I drive a Nissan
Patrol Wagon (petrol) towing a 2 horse bumper pull and to be honest it is
only new and I haven't yet taken it to a ride. I think it is going to be
more costly than the Patrol Ute (diesel) that I used to use. I do not go
to rides regularly so I couldn't say what it costs in a year if you are to
go to all rides available which many do.

Regards
Kate
& Mariah (who thinks tumbleweeds rolling down the road are okay but those
ones stuck in the fence are getting ready to attack)
