Maureen's approach also worked for me though at the time I couldn't have
told you how I did it...I knew I had to get more of a trot out of him
and before I became interested in endurance had never cared about an
extended trot. It does take time. I worked with my guy for a good year
before he finally became a pro at it. Now he can trot away for as long
as I will let him, though I admit I often am the one who needs to break
the routine and either lope a little or catch our breath with a walk.
Time and patience will do the trick.
