Vitamin Supplement
A big thank you to everyone who responded about how to get
my horse to eat his vitamins (I guess they don't make
Flintstone's chewables for horses). For the moment I'm
going to switch to a pellet type because I keep him at a
boarding stable and although the management is good about
putting supplements in, they've stated point blank that they
won't feed beet pulp and are unhappy with a special mix in
the rush to prepare grain rations for 35 horses (that's the
biggest part of the problem -- they pour the supplement on
top so when they dump the grain in the feeder it's all on
the bottom). I can't get out to the stable on weekends
because of travel. Add to that that I've only been boarding
there 2 months and still haven't met too many people because
I go out during the day Mon-Fri. OK, I've done my whining!
I'm looking forward to retirement when I can keep my horse
at home and do things the way I want. That's when all your
suggestions will come in handy -- I'm keeping them in my
file.
Thanks again to all,
SusanB
