Bumgardner Endurance Horses
<My question to you is what was your experience with the Bumgardner's?
What horse did you buy? What state of training was the horse in when
you bought it? Did you get what you expected? Do you know if, in
general, they train their horses to be highly competitive, high energy
types or calmer, good mannered, good minded types?>
Jack,
The horse I bought was not by Sierra Fadwah. The horse I bought is Kann
Samm Count who is Sambor bred. He was purchased off the track at Los
Alimitos, I believe by Jackie. As I understand it, all of Jackie's horses
go to the track and they always come back in good condition.
Jackie gave Samm to us with a 30-day guarantee. This gave us plenty of
time to get to know him and have the vet out to do the pre-purchase exam.
We had a complete exam performed, including x-rays, and Samm checked out
fine. Samm trailers beautifully, loads and unloads with ease. He is
very responsive to his rider and he tries so hard to do what he's asked.
He has a very pleasant personality and carries himself with a lot of
confidence. Samm has exceeded any expectations we had when we bought him.
You might want to talk to Wendy Merendini. She has been riding
Fancy since the beginning of the year. She can be contacted via e-mail at
