Ah, such horrid visions--too much garlic, probably. Is there research
suggesting that grain=stomach ulcers? I'm going to have to get my parets off
their granola in that case. And carbo loading is not the subject being
discussed, although it's an interesting concept. And let's hope that the very
next horse flying into the American River is not being fed any grain--but fat,
so we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that fat makes horses think they can
fly and kills them by the half-ton.

As far as top ten horses without carbohydrate loading--how many without
supportive grain/carbohydrate feeding during the event (one of the current
topics)? How many on just hay and corn oil? Why not outlaw grain feeding
during endurance competition if it's such a dangerous proposition?

Does Valery ride on hay and fat? I kind of doubt it, but it would be
interesting to know. At least, before anybody, including me, jumps to
delusions.
