My horse who survived 6 weeks without eating...

Hi folks,

OK, OK,....I'll write up the whole story some time real soon.    Did want
to let you know that Gabe did not go over the edge during the Tevis race
itself.  It happened when, due to a bear wandering through camp,  12 of my
horses broke out of their corral while we were sleeping at Michigan Bluff
during the third night of the Tevis Trail Training Seminar, which I
produced for twelve years.    They ran back on the trail.   I caught some
of them 30  miles back, some more 38 miles......didn't find Gabe.   It's a
very long story, which I'm some day going to publish, but I promise a
condensed version w/i a few days....gotta go to work now....60 horses to
deworm, inoculate, check for teeth floating, partially clip to get ready
for Easter week at our trailride business (it's been so cold nobody has
shedded out, and now it's warm ....).  You understand.....
