Re: trailer placement?
Whichever position gives you appropriate tongue weight (10 - 15% of total
loaded trailer weight). This may depend on how much weight you carry in the
tack room. Go to a scale and weigh trailer (unattached to the truck) and
then either:
1. Weigh the truck with trailer attached (trailer off the scale) and trailer
unattached, the difference giving you tongue weight or
2. No quite as accurate, but probably close enough weigh with just the front
trailer jack on the scale which will be slightly greater than tongue weight.
