Regarding teeth: geldings have tuches which erupt in the 4th year.
Occasionally mares will have these but not often. Wolf teeth are little
tiny rootless teeth which are right in front of the first molar. When
the bit presses on them they are very painful. They should always be
removed if the horse is to be bitted.
