hay
Typically feed alfalfa, esp. lately because my landlord raises it - the
harow bed driver drops off as many loads as I want. The same landloard also
plants oats, and I get that too. consider alfalfa "better" - more concious
effort goes into growing it (better price for farmer). But I have not had
either analyzed for nutritional value.
Note: I have saved my oat hay for this endurance season, and am feeding the
endurance horse with it about 50/50. With the oat hay I can use LMF for
grass. LMF for alfalfa is not available in the NW central Washington.
