I certainly understand why managers find it necessary to exclude dogs,
however, it does not change the fact that many women, including myself, feel
safer when we travel with our dog(s).  I know that my family and my spouse
would not want me to travel without my canine companions (or my cell phone).

It is the responsibility of the owner to keep their dogs under control.  I
will continue to take my dogs to camp -- they are very well behaved and under
my control at all times.  When I am out on trail my dog is content to stay in
the horse trailer until I return.  In camp he knows to behave or else.  

Personally I am very annoyed with those folks who allow their dogs to roam
freely, bark all night, etc.
