Beet pulp weight

Took my new kitchen scales down to the barn to weigh my shreaded beet
pulp.   A 2 lb. coffee can of dry pulp weighs  2.10 lbs.

Is this supply and demand or what?  I started buying pulp a couple of
months ago and my feed store said they did not sell much of it. A month
ago I paid $6.20 and today I paid $10.50 a bag. That is a big increase
at one time. They said they are selling more lately and the dealer went
up. I may have to find another feed store.
