It would seem like there is a minimum head count for booking a caterer for an
event. If this is correct, I can certainly see why this is done. Personally, I
figure that the dollars for the dinner WITH the entry is like, water under the
bridge and so insignificant - and no, we are not rich - that I figure what the
heck. In any case, having been through 2 earthquakes and some firestorms and
electrical outages, we are prepared for anything - at home and on the road.
Extra food? No problem! We bring it along. Now...if we could just remember the
Tylenol!

To Lynne-oversenstive ride manager, NO, I was no meaning you. I don't
believe I have done any of your rides. I am not pointing my finger at any one
ride. Just dinner tickets in general! I just wish we as riders had the
choice of purchasing the ticket with our entry or not. I understand that the
meals being cartered need a head count, but if I choose Not to pay the dinner
fee with my entry I Would Not expect a dinner for me! It can't be that hard
to do. No "prepurchase" dinner ticket with entry, no dinner. I wonder if I
called before I sent my entry in and asked if I could deduct the dinner fee if
RM if that would work?
