Fw: Farriers staying up to date?

Hooo Haaa. Have to laugh enviously. Our old farrier just retired due to
blindness...Yup, he trained his replacement, if you want to call it that, as
he was going blind. You probably don't want to think too much about that.
So now our vet (the club vet is an idiot and the farrier is also the club
farrier) is training the young guy so that he doesn't completely mess up our
horses feet. Luckily, we can bring in our own vet even if for the most part
we are stuck with the club farrier. There is a French farrier here for a
while, but once he goes we will have really ticked off the guy that we have
to deal with on a daily basis, so we figure teaching him how to do it is the
better investment.
If there was one thing that I could import, lock, stock and barrel, to Egypt
it would be your access to shoeing technology and knowledge. OOOOOOh don't
I wish.
