excited,inspired,challenged newbie
Hi all!
I am just now getting into Endurance riding. I have ridden trails and showed
horses for about 5 years consistenly. I have always loved to take long rides
on my horses. I decided endurance would be for me as I have the time and
energy to persue it.
I started to train my spotted saddle horse about 3 mos ago , when I came to
learn more about endurance riding and the challenges with my horse as well as
myself, I felt the need to speed things up. I therefore took the liberty to
find an endurance horse who was very experienced. I found one and he is
absolutely great. He is about 3,000 miles ahead of me, but I am very
determined and a hard worker and plan to ride my first ride ever in a 50
miler.
The ride I plan to participate in is a very easy trail compared to most. I
feel confident in my horse and myself as a rider--but then again I've never
even been to an endurance ride. I've read several books and communicated with
lots of different people with experince and knowledge.
I'm so looking forward to this new and exciting sport. Thanks for listening.
