I've had one farrier (many years ago) who said he would show up "sometime over the
weekend" and sometimes never did.  Of course, that meant I spent the entire
weekend waiting for him.  The one I have now is always on time, does great work,
and doesn't even charge much.  The ONLY time he has not shown up was the day his
mother passed away!!!  Don't know what I'll do if he ever moves away.
