lost shoe

rule of thumb here and I've NEVER heard otherwise is that the farrier is going to replace the shoe at his/her cost, especially after only two weeks. 

 

Shoes aren't supposed to come off.  If it is 6 weeks and you've been doing a lot of heavy riding and in and out of mud, perhaps.  But, you would be calling for a new set by then.

 

Have you tried another farrier?
