Re: RC: Proposal from Donna Snyder-Smith
To some extent I like the idea of the different levels, but not to get
"year end awards". Unless you can only get it once on each horse, sort
of like obedience degrees with your dog where first you get a CD with
three qualifying scores, then you can no longer compete at that level you
have to move up to CDX, the UD etc.
The following is my friend's description of how they do it in Scotland.
I'd knock off the MPH part, but it would be O.K. to say, "Kaboot has a
Golden Kudzoo certificate." :-)

I am a member of the Scottish
Endurance Riding Club (SERC) and so far I have acheived my Bronze Thistle
Final (2 x 20 and 1 x 30). During the 97 season I completed 5 x 30 mile
rides and with a bit of luck this year I hope to get my Silver Thistle
which is 2 x 40 milers and 1 x 50. The Gold Thistle is 2 x 50 at over
7mph.
