Maryanne,

Good luck with starting distance riding (however it's defined!) in Egypt.  You
are taking on a huge task that I hope someday the riders in your area
appreciate.
Hope you and everyone who participates have a great time.  Despite all the
"controversy" on Ridecamp, I think most would agree that there's nothing like
sharing a scenic, challenging, are-we-going-the-right-way ride with your
special 4 legged friend, & getting that 4 legged friend thru in good shape.
All the yrs of work in getting that horse ready come to mind as you cross the
finish line (whatever the placing).   
As a ride manager, there's nothing like seeing everyone back in camp (really
brings out the maternal instincts!)
