I've got to disagree. I see where you're coming from, but it discourages
people from pulling themselves. Right now I'm 3 for 5 on 100's. I've
pulled myself at 73 and 80 miles. Both times the vet would have let me
continue, but it was best for my horse that we stop.
I've often thought it would be nice to print the names of non-finishers
and reasons for pull. "OR" would stand for "Over ridden". Then there
could be "RWO" (rider wimped out), SB (stone bruise) DTSWSAWH would be
"Decided this sport was stupid and went home".
