Certainly the vet didn't mean "healed" 100%. By "be back" he or she probably
meant that you could go ahead and compete with him even if the tendon wasn't
healed--that happens a lot in horseracing. Not a very good idea, though--the
second bow is always worse than the first.
Takes 12 to 16 months for a tendon to fully heal under normal circumstances.
However, moderate exercise is the best thing for it, and can speed healing.
Muscle stimulation can also speed healing.
