Didn't mean to come off sounding snobby.  A 25 mile ride is (sorry) not an
endurance ride.  It has nothing to do with snobbishness, it's just a fact.  It
doesn't mean that completing a 25 is a nothing accomplishment.  Sometimes just
getting out and riding at all is a huge accomplishment and something to be
proud of.  The LDs are great for all kinds of reasons -- starting young
horses/new riders and for people like your sister who for whatever reason
can't do longer distances.  I just happen to agree that they shouldn't re
raced and to call them "endurance" is a misnomer.  Obviously, Maggie, we're
not going to agree  on this one, so how about we agree to disagree?  I respect
your opinions (thanks for not totally flaming me!).
