I couldn't agree with you more. I've been a Non-member for the past five
years. I've completed Tevis all five years, the Outlaw Trail, the Virginia
City 100 and numerous other AERC sanctioned rides. I have paid my 'non-
member' fee without complaint. This year, however, I am joining AERC . Mainly
because I have come to believe that the organization provides a benefit to the
overall horse community. I don't care about points, mileage, or any of that
other stuff, I just want to be part of an organization that supports trail-
riding. AERC does, in my opinion.
