Hey, I remember that incident. It was me and my horse that did this
at the Briones NATRC ride last year. There was no crupper and had there
been, there would have been less damage. As it was, I didn't see the
burn until the first P&R stop. Since it hadn't given him any problem,
I did continue and finished both days of the ride. The incident occurred
2 miles out of camp on the first day.
