Info on horse vacuums? Noise reduction

Certainly it is possible. My father put his Shop-Vac in a Rubbermaid
horizontal storage bin (made for outside use) outside of his wood shop. He
drilled a hole through the storage bin and the wood shop's wall for the hose.
He, also, fixed a new outside receptacle to plug in the vacuum with a switch
on the inside of the shop so he could turn it off and on.

The reduction in noise is wonderful, not to mention the space freed up by not
having the vacuum inside.

If your barn is setup where you groom your horses next to an outside wall then
this set up could work. If not a much simpler idea would be to have a wooden
box or equivalent to put the Shop-Vac in with a holes for the cord and the
hose.

Just another idea, Shop-Vac makes a one gallon vacuum that you can use and
then put away on a shelf for storage.
