RE: Bute after a Ride
Ahhhh, a voice of reason. I agree with you Drin. A typical dosage of Bute
for 24-36 hours doesn't cover up squat let alone something significant
enough to worry about. Your horse gets a break after a ride anyway and the
bute would be long gone before you were even thinking about riding. I
groomed race horses for several years and saw everything imaginable tried to
block pain and even mega doses of bute couldn't cover up a real problem. I
use something for myself after a hard ride and it only eases a little muscle
soreness, I still feel my arthritis and muscle pulls.
