Athlete MIGHT have worked well for them... So far have not heard any problems from Strategy, but then have not heard of it being used much in really competitive endurance horses. As to the fat going rancid--that could potentially be a problem in ANY high-fat feed (NRG, etc.) if not used when relatively fresh, but would not have been the case in the problems that we saw. Heidi
