Panalog is great but does contain steroids which will inhibit the proud flesh
but will also inhibit healing of the tissues. My horse has a terrible
[although only skin deep] wound on his hind leg and I have used Panalog and
wraps for two weeks and now am using a gel daily called Iamin -Vet Skin Care
Gel which my vet says works wonders. I have only used it yesterday and today
so can't tell for sure. It is a "hydrogel used to manage and provide an
improved healing environment for acute or chronic wounds..." It contains
Purified Water, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, benzyl alcohol, prezatide
copper acetate and sodium chloride. It smells good and doesn't seem to hurt
him. We shall see...Maryben
