I usually ride in running shoes. Then I rode in some leather tennis
shoes and was surprised how much warmer they were than the cloth/mesh
ones. I'd love to have some of those furry toe caps for the stirrups,
but I can just imagine putting my foot in there with 4" of red clay mud
(our version of snow) stuck to the bottom of my shoe.
