Agreed. It's a simple rule of most public forests, etc.... pack it in, pack
it out. Should apply no matter where you are, if it's posted or not. If
there are no trash receptacles, take your garbage with you! Sometimes, I
don't know what people are thinking... do they expect their mommy to come by
and clean up their mess? Overall, however, I have to say that I think most
endurance folks I've encountered are very consciencious of the
environment... more so than many of the hikers and campers.
I've always taught my kids not to litter, and when we camp, primitive or
otherwise, we always live by that rule and try to leave the place BETTER
than we found it.
