Re: Enviornmentalists
Endurance riders are the ultimate enviornmentalists! After the Biltmore ride
this past weekend this is what I remember: about 150 riders on this weekend
alone, not to mention the 100's that ride these same trails all the time- I
saw NO trash on the trails, no erosion problems on the trail. No trash left on
the campgrounds, manure and hay was scattered nicely. As a new driver of a
HUGE trailer, I was one of the last to leave. I could look all the way down
the valley, you could tell the riders had been there only because of the eated
grass in the areas where paddocks had been. There was nothing to be cleaned up
after these people. I know of no endurance rider that would harm the trail
areas or destroy others' property. We all care very deeply about the
enviornment at home and elsewhere. There is no discrepency between endurance
riders and people who wish for a healthy and accessible eco-system.
