Re: Shelf Life of electrolytes
The inorganic portion of the electrolytes will have an essentially unlimited
shelf life. (Much of the NaCl used today is from deposits formed 100's of
millions of years ago). The sugar and flavorings will have a somewhat
shorter shelf life, but since the powders are reasonably dry and have a very
high salt and sugar concentration molds, yeast, and bacteria can't grow. I
would guess that noticeable deterioration won't happen in any of our
lifetimes if not longer.
