This is a little off subject, but the post from Ivey brought back some
memories of her that I would like to share. Back in the early '90s, I was
interested in doing an endurance ride, I knew nothing about it, but wanted to
try. I read somewhere about the Edgemont ride in NC. I called Ivey to check
out about entry, etc. She asked me some questions and found out that I had
never done a ride before. She advised me NOT to come to her ride because it
was so very difficult! I have since been indedted to her for this advice. She
told me of some rides that would be great for first timers, and she was right.
With all the talk about RMs doing this for the love of the sport, I thought
this action on her part showed that she cared much more for the horses and
people than she did entry fees........

Thank you Ivey, you probably saved my horse and kept me into this sport.
