Cosequin Challenge

accomplishments: This horse and rider team was involved in a MAJOR =
vehicle accident a little over a year ago....rider, husband and horse =
almost didn't survive.  The horse was injured so badly that animal =
control officials at the scene started to put the horse down.  Rita and

her husband were air lifted to a nearby trauma center........what a =

That would be Rita Swift on Cass...an amazing team. They won a 50-miler
in WV this spring in a race with Debi Gordon and Redman, then finished
third on the OD 100, and just two weeks before Cosequin finished second
on the Rockbridge Hunt 50. Rita said at the OD awards ceremony in June
that her husband just puts her on the horse and points her down the
trail -- she's a kick! Cass is a good lookin' gray with a roached mane.
Glad to hear they did so well.
