How Soon We Forget

Fellow Ridecampers, 
Seems it wasn't long ago the hot topic was Limited Distance Riders 
wanting MORE. Recognitions (i.e. space in EN & yearbook) AND year end 
awards(award costs +computer tracking). These cost money, folks. The 
proposed rule changes are the board's attempt to fulfill the wishes of a 
very local group. This current discussion sounds as if this was a vocal 
minority. At any rate, the board is doing their job by presenting this 
issue for a vote of the MEMBERSHIP. Some of the posts make it sound as 
if the board wants this money for itself. They are only attempting to 
provide what the loudest voices have indicated. If you have a better 
plan, make sure the appropriate AERC committee gets a copy.
