not only is debris a problem but if you have to slam on your
brakes you stand a good chance of breaking their necks - as
happened in the QH world several years ago when a trainer
was hauling from a show thru Chicago with 4 horses - all 4
horses had their head out and all 4 were killed :(
I have drop down doors - I velcro'd heavy duty mesh on the
inside so they can be opened but heads can't get out
