I've never seen you or your horse at a ride, so I am not commenting on
the specifics of whether your horse is or is not a danger at a ride.
Although AIUI the rides did not ban you, but one specific horse, you
would have been welcome to enter with another horse.
However, it is most definitely *not* over, as a terrible precedent has
been set regarding the ability of ride managers to ban a horse from
their ride that they believe to present a danger to their horses and
people. IMO the Board must address this, and fix it, ASAP. And the
things we say in this forum can help to assure that that happens.
I have not managed a ride for several years, but I'm about to begin
managing them again. But in all honesty I must say that my decision
to do so will depend in part on getting this right properly clarified,
as well as on the upcoming decision on charging *all* non-AERC riders
doing any distance below fifty miles the full ten-dollar non-member
fee.
